Labor Day Camping at Camp Calvary

Our church has great community building. Here's one of them - Camp Calvary. Mostly people from our church camping here together at one place. We love it!
Here was our view in the mornings, people starting to gather around the perpetual campfire. Lots of people cook every meal on the campfire.
We borrowed a friend's popup to see if we liked that style of camping. Boy, I loved having the little kitchen to work with!

What a beautiful weekend we had! You can see the floating platform that the bigger kids swim out to. There's also a ski jump to the right of that (in the picture.) The family that runs the camp put on a little water ski show for us on the last evening. Monday, they'll start pulling all of the jumps and docks out of the water to prepare for winter. Camping season is over here....or at least the water part of it.

Lord, thank you for this place to rest in your Goodness and Beauty. Thank you for the sweet fellowship and encouragement we get from spending extra time with our church family. Thank you for the freedom we have in our country to come here and worship together freely. You are an awesome God. Amen.
